Ventura County Bird List

 Here is a list of the possible birds to be found in Ventura County.  While walking around with a clipboard and marking these out individually would be very 1940s of me, I prefer to document and catalog my birds utilizing the University of Cornell's eBird app and website : You can also view the possible birds in the county listed in this link . In 2022, I will be birding California (mostly around Ventura County) for birds in an effort to support breast cancer research, education and awareness.  I will be soliciting donations to the Susan G. Komen Foundation which is a leading non-profit for breast cancer research.  I'm asking for 10 cents per bird that I find in 2022. On average, I find about 275 unique species in Ventura County each year.  2020 was my best year at 310 species.  So if I find 300 species in 2022, that's a $30 donation.  Donations can come from Venmo, PayPal, cash, check, or Zelle.  All donations will go directly to breast cancer research.  I'll be working on a better collection format early in 2022.   Breast cancer is one of those unfortunate diseases that women are subject to and have no control over the risk associated with it.  It's completely unfair and we need to crowd-source the funding to support research to better understand how to identify and resolve t...
